According to The Mirror, Tottenham are lining up a one-year loan deal for the Portuguese international.
Daniel Levy and Spurs have yet to do any business this summer, and it looks like he wants to atone for that by swooping for a West Ham target.
While there have been no recent links to the Hammers, the 25 year-old made 13 league appearances on loan in East London last season.

Mario tends to split opinion amongst fans, as his tireless work rate, boundless and energy and impressive versatility certainly makes him a useful weapon to have.
However, his end product isn’t good enough to really be considered a top quality player.
