da luck: Paris Saint-Germain are holding off on a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose due to Financial Fair Play concerns, The Daily Mirror states.
What’s the word?
da spicy bet: Mauricio Pochettino has decided that England international Danny Rose can leave before the end of the European transfer market next week and Paris Saint-Germain have been named as suitors for his services – but a move is being delayed.
The Mirror says PSG have put their search for a new left-back to replace Yuri Berchiche, who joined Athletic Bilbao earlier this summer, on hold as they wait to hear that outcome of UEFA’s latest peek into their financials.
Ligue 1 champions PSG have invested heavily in the past 12 months to land the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and fear that UEFA could come down heavily on them if they judge the French giants to have broken their FFP regulations.
What should Spurs do?
With Ben Davies and Kyle Walker-Peters impressing down the left side for Spurs, Pochettino’s decision that Rose can leave in the final week of the European window should see the Lilywhites spring into action and push to offload the 28-year-old.

Spurs are under financial strain due to their rejuvenation of White Hart Lane, which has been delayed, and selling Rose, deemed surplus to requirements, would help balance their books and potentially provide funs for Pochettino to spend in January.
With Rose on a high after starring for England’s push to the World Cup semi-finals, Spurs could command a high price for the experienced full-back and should take advantage of PSG’s interest in the next week.
