da bet esporte: Roberto Firmino remains to be an enigma.
da dobrowin: The Brazil international is Liverpool’s centre-forward, yet he does not score too many goals. Both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have more so far this campaign than his nine, but the 28-year-old has contributed with nine assists as well. It is his work-rate and teamwork that is often lauded – that is what continues to make him a valued member of the side.
The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?
In recent weeks, his ability to hit the back of the net has improved. He has managed five goals in 12 appearances, and that has helped the Anfield outfit continue to dominate the Premier League.
However, there is one worrying fact about his goalscoring record this term – not one of his strikes have come at home. Goals against Southampton, Burnley, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Tottenham all came away, whilst strikes versus Monterrey and Flamengo came on neutral ground in Qatar in the Club World Cup.
Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge recently commented on the stat, and said that Firmino looks devoid of confidence at Anfield and, in regards to his strike against Spurs, he believes he would have “fluffed his lines” had that chance not come at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It is a bizarre statistic, but it is emblematic of Firmino. The former Hoffenheim forward is arguably the most unconventional striker in the Premier League, and perhaps even in European football as a whole. Having said that, this is something that Jurgen Klopp will want to work on with the South American immediately. As the 52-year-old strives for success, he cannot afford there to be any weaknesses in his players, and this is clearly one that the Brazilian has at the moment.

Knowing Firmino, though, he is likely to come good at some point at Anfield and issue an emphatic response, just like he has done before. Klopp, though, will surely be hoping that comes sooner rather than later.
In other news, even Liverpool fans don’t agree with Neil Warnock’s praise for Jurgen Klopp.
