da marjack bet: With Jamie Vardy’s future still up in the air and a transfer conclusion still seemingly a long way away, Leicester must start preparing for the future – with or without their key striker.
da premier bet: The Leicester City hot-shot is currently with his England team-mates in France at the EUROs and despite not being a starter under Roy Hodgson, talk hasn’t stopped about his future.
But the Foxes need to prepare for the future without Vardy, because it seems Arsenal are going to be quite persistent with their offer.
So with that in mind, here’s FIVE striking options Claudio Ranieri should consider if Jamie Vardy is sold this summer…
Danny Welbeck
This England front-man has been well and truly forgotten at Arsenal and is struggling for game time at the Emirates.
He’s made less than 50 appearances in two years at the club which for someone who should be in his prime just isn’t enough. Leicester would offer the former Manchester United man the chance to play competitive Champions League football with a squad that has just won the Premier League – not such a bad deal after all. The big issue is that he won’t be available until 2017, though…
Michy Batshuayi
Batshuayi has been linked with a number of top European teams this summer and he’s a player Leicester should take a look at if they lose Vardy. The Belgium international has impressed at Marseille for the past couple of years, scoring 26 goals in 62 appearances. He’s physically robust, has a real burst of pace and is also highly rated in his homeland.
Bertrand Traore
Traore is one of the many Chelsea youngsters that is on the cusp of the team but has has consistently been sent out on-loan for the past couple of seasons.
With Antonio Conte really needing to cut down numbers, it could be another loan move for Traore this year and a transfer to Leicester would be fantastic for both parties. The Burkina Faso international traditionally plays as an attacking midfielder but we’ve seen him lead the line for Vitesse where he scored 17 goals last season.

Seydou Doumbia
For whatever reason, a loan move at Newcastle United really didn’t work out for Doumbia last season, but Premier League fans really didn’t see enough of the Roma man to make an accurate judgement. When he’s on his game, he’s as good as any European striker as his goal tally in Russia shows. 61 in just over 90 appearances for CSKA Moscow shows what the Ivorian can really do and if given the chance, there’s no doubt he’d be an asset to any outfit.

Paco Alcacer
Valencia hit-man Paco Alcacer is one of the biggest talents in Spanish football. Whilst Valencia have suffered a turbulent season which saw Gary Neville lose his job in a bad-tempered spell, Alcacer’s form never really dropped and he managed to score 15 goals by the end of the campaign.
At 22, his best years are ahead and he looks like a man that could make the step up to the Premier League.
