da casino: Many were eagerly anticipating the midweek round of Premier League fixtures following an FA Cup weekend, with one eye very focused on their Fantasy Football assets.
da betano casino: However, the usual suspects for points did not continue their form, which saw an average gameweek of only 33 points.
Before those games, we picked five captains you should have been considering… let’s see how they did.
1. Harry Kane (2)
2. Diego Costa (1)
3. Mesut Ozil (2)
4. Odion Ighalo (2)
5. Sergio Aguero (2)
It was a rather drab week for many managers, as other choices like Kevin de Bruyne (3) and Riyad Mahrez (2) also didn’t reward their owners.
But this is a new gameweek, and despite their blanks we expect many of these names to once again be considered as choices for captain starting this Saturday.
So without further ado, here are FIVE CAPTAIN CHOICES ahead of Gameweek 22!
Harry Kane
The first person to blank this past gameweek that we are backing once again is Harry Kane (9.9).
The England international was unable to break the deadlock against Leicester City but was incredibly close, squeezing the ball past Kasper Schmeichel only for it bounce off the ground and then the bar.
But more importantly, relegation battlers Sunderland are up next at White Hart Lane, and despite their 4-2 win over Swansea, we don’t expect the Black Cats to keep Spurs from not scoring two games in sucession.
Sergio Aguero
Next up from players who failed us this past Gameweek is Sergio Aguero (13.2), who was expected to continue his fine form against a leaky Everton defence.
But incredibly, Manchester City were held 0-0 thanks to goalkeeper Tim Howard, disappointing many who captained Aguero or his teammate Kevin de Bruyne.
However, Crystal Palace roll up to the Etihad next, and Alan Pardew’s men are starting to struggle with no goals in their last four games just lost 1-0 to bottom place Aston Villa.
Dimitri Payet
What a comeback huh? Dimitri Payet (7.7) has not started a game since his injury early in November but returned with a bang against Bournemouth on Tuesday, scoring one and assisting another in a 3-1 win.
And already managers are piling up to sign the Frenchman, with the Hammers travelling to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle United.
The Magpies have just conceded three goals against a rather lacklustre Man United side on Tuesday, and if they defend anything like that then Payet and co are expected to reap the rewards.
Riyad Mahrez
After missing out totally in the previous article, Riyad Mahrez (6.4) rejoins the choices list this gameweek as Leicester City travel to rock bottom Aston Villa.
The Foxes were expected to fall from grace in the second half of the campaign, but Claudio Ranieri’s men are still surprising everyone by beating Tottenham Hotspur away on Wednesday.
Mahrez may not have been involved in the goals, but he was a constant threat and Villa are likely to be an easier nut to crack than the Lilywhites. He already has 13 goals and seven assists this season, and we bet he’ll add more to that tally at Villa Park.
Olivier Giroud
Olivier Giroud (9.2) had a sublime game against Liverpool with a brace on Wednesday, and is one of the most in-form strikers at the moment with five goals and two assists in his last seven league outings.
And although Arsenal have failed to beat Stoke City at the Britannia in their last six games, this is not the hard-tackling and ball-winning Potters of old, which could work in favour of the Gunners’ slick passing style.
And if anyone will finish the chances being created, it’s Giroud.
